Data Horizon
This week’s material required additional working time during the process, which is why our team decided to postpone its publication.
Let me note that over the coming month we plan to study the following topics:
- A study of gasoline prices,
- A study and forecast of real estate prices in Yerevan and the regions,
- A study of RA industry by branches,
- We will also touch upon certain parts of inflation.
Stay tuned for these analyses.
Future Plans
Our team aims to achieve the following goals over the coming year:
- We plan to make the tvyal.com platform a normalized portal for all Armenian (and not only) data, where mostly normalized data will be available for free download also via API, which will later be available in JS, Python, R, and other language libraries. Let me note that the data provided by Armstat, CBA, cadastre.am and other portals are mixed and lack a standardized structure; much of the data is in PDF format or in separate tables given monthly, which need to be cleaned and merged to obtain a time series. All data must have a normalized, clean appearance, where:
- each variable or characteristic must be presented in a column.
- each column must present one type of data or one type of measurement unit.
- each row must be a separate observation.
- each value must have its own place.
- We note that through its activities the tvyal.com platform has already accomplished the automated downloading, cleaning, and creation of a normalized database for much of this data. 70-90 percent of the data will be free on the platform.
- We plan to continue the weekly free analyses. However, in the future the main part of the analysis will be laid out. Some sensitive analyses or more in-depth presentations of analyses will be paid. In all likelihood with registration and a monthly fee, which will also include the ability to use the API for all the data mentioned in the previous point.
- Our plans also include a complete presentation of exchange rate data. It has already been 6 months since we have been automatically receiving this data. We plan to put a graphical presentation of all recent exchange rate data.
4. We plan to expand the unit that will be engaged in the processing, coordination, value extraction, automation, forecasting, etc., of data for Armenian and other state organizations.
For all this it is necessary to build the tvyal.com website from scratch, because the system on which it is built is already limited for our current requirements.

Until then you can get acquainted with our previous analyses.
